US construction spending trend ambiguous

Today the Census Bureau released construction spending estimates through March. Overall spending rose in November and December, fell in January and February, and was steady in March. If you look at the graph, you will see that the drop in January and February is similar to many small variations in the past, so that the uptrend is probably still intact. But it could be that construction spending has leveled out; we will just need to wait and see as further data come out.
